Kim Bannister

Kim Bannister, 43, has been looking for the perfect spot to build her bamboo hut since the late ‘80s. Her search has taken her throughout the Himalaya, as well as through Asia, Africa, the South Pacific and back to the USA. Although she now has a barn-full of ‘curios’ to fill the hut, that idyllic dwelling still eludes her. In the USA, she most recently lived in Hawaii, Northern California and Colorado, where she biked, hiked, windsurfed and surfed. She has been creating and leading treks in Nepal, India, Tibet and Bhutan since 2000, and mountain biking in her free time. In Asia, she has tried her luck biking in India (dodging trucks and cows, avoiding cliffs) in China (along with the 1.2 billion others …) and Nepal
